At the Multimedia Lab (LMMFE), we provide advanced multimedia support for the EBTT (European Biomedical Engineering Training Course) project, which is widely recognised as one of the central European educational events in the field of biomedical engineering. Since the training is condensed into a single week and involves the intensive transfer of highly specific knowledge, our role is crucial in establishing a hybrid environment that connects lecturers and participants regardless of their physical location.
The EBTT project demands a high degree of responsiveness and technical excellence, as we merge physical presence in the lecture hall with active remote participation. The main challenge of this project is the exceptionally fast production cycle, as all lectures must be available to participants for playback immediately following the conclusion of the daily program.
Within the scope of the project, we provide the team and advanced technology necessary to deliver a modern, interactive educational experience. This includes high-quality live streaming across Europe, two-way communication via Zoom, real-time video editing, and the publishing of content to the online classroom on the very same day.
LMMFE’s involvement in the EBTT project goes far beyond basic technical recording. By implementing hybrid technology, we have opened up the training to a broader circle of experts and enabled the seamless sharing of knowledge in the digital age. This approach provides participants with flexibility while maintaining a rich archive of expert content updated on a daily basis, significantly enhancing the educational value of the entire week.
